Microsoft has taken the guesswork out of computer work with its new suite of SeniorPCs. Now, getting up-and-running on your own PC is practically as easy as plugging it in and turning it on.
SeniorPCs are HP computers that come equipped with user-friendly software specifically geared to senior living. Think of it as a simplified way to do it all: e-mailing, word processing, plus managing prescriptions, finances, travel planning and photos. There are even word games and number games for keeping the puzzle skills sharp. Each SeniorPC also comes with an HP color printer.
It’s the complete package, all for under $1,300.
- Standard Packages
The standard desktop computer package is what seniors want in a PC. All you have to do is plug it in and it already has the programs you need and want installed. Runs on Windows Vista Home Premium, and comes with Microsoft Works Suite 8, games, prescription software, and more. Color printer included. - Standard Desktop - US $1175 : The standard desktop computer package sits atop a desk in your home and is everything seniors need. Features an HP computer and 17” flat panel monitor. It runs on Windows Vista Home Premium, and comes with Microsoft Works Suite 2006, games, prescription software, and more.
- Standard Laptop - US $1195 : This package is designed for the active senior who may want to bring a laptop when traveling, even if it is just a trip to the living room. This package is the same as the SeniorPC standard desktop, but with the benefit of being portable. This affordable laptop runs on Windows Vista Home Premium and includes Microsoft Works Suite 2006, games, prescription software, and more.
- Autopilot Packages
All the features of the standard package, plus additional tools for seniors with little or no computer experience who want to use e-mail, the Internet, and create letters and files. Runs on Windows Vista Home Premium, and includes Microsoft Works Suite 8, games, prescription software, and QualiLife Word, Mail, and Surf. Color printer included.- Autopilot desktop - US $1275 : This complete package is specifically designed for seniors who have had little or no experience with a computer. All the features that comes with the SeniorPC standard package, plus this package includes: QualiMail for easy e-mail, QualiSurf for easy Internet surfing, and QualiWord for easy word processing. It also provides gaming and printing capabilities - all in one box.
- Autopilot laptop - US $1295 : This complete package is specifically designed for seniors who have had little or no experience with a computer, but also want a portable computer. All the features that comes with the SeniorPC standard package, plus this package includes: QualiMail for easy e-mail, QualiSurf for easy Internet surfing, and QualiWord for easy word processing. It also provides gaming and printing capabilities - all in one box.
