Once upon a time, UAE cricket team was consists of different nationalities, except emiraties. But now The Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) is going to change the rule to increase emiraties participation in the team. The board has ordered that at least four of the country’s 15-man Asia Cup squad must be Emiratis.
After ECB announced a quota the of players Mohammad Tauqir has been named as the deputy to the captain, Saqib Ali, while Fahad Alhashmi, Alawi Shukri and Salman Farooq have also made the tour party.
