At Last … Yahoo Choose Google as Partner in Online Advertising
For last 5/6 months, lots been happening around Yahoo!, Microsoft and Google. First Microsoft placed an unsoliciated bid to buyout Yahoo!, then Google raised their hand to Yahoo for friendship advertisement partnership, then Yahoo rejects Microsoft’s bid, Again Yahoo shows some interest, talks begin between Microsoft and Yahoo …. blah blah blah.
Finally, Yahoo choose Google as an online advertising partnership. This news came across when Microsoft’s deal to a dead-end where Yahoo’s stock down 12% in Thursday afternoon trading. Yahoo! will be using Google’s contextual advertising technology to generate revenue.
Yahoo inked a non-exclusive arrangement with Google to use its text-based ads on its own web properties as well as on its search results. Yahoo said the deal would generate an estimated $250 million to $450 million in operating cash flow in the first year.
