Firefox 3 : Breaks all the records apart
When I heard about the Download Day 2008, I was really impressed with the idea to set a world record - “Most Downloaded Software in 24 hours”. As a genuin user, I signed up to be a pledge and spreaded the news and requested my friends to download the product as soon as it is available.
But on 17th June, it started with disasture, as I couldn’t find the download link. After a anxious 3 hours, I heard Mozilla’s servers were down. But I managed to download Firefox 3 in my Personal computer, Laptop and office PC. I installed some other PCs as well.
However, when I heard the total number of pledge was just around 1 million, it seemed target 5 million was long way to travel. But I had a shock - People managed to download 8 million in just 24 hours! Wow! 333K+ Download per Hour!
Today, I had another shock. I was surfing Google News and Firefox 3 At 14 Million Downloads in just 72 hours despite of some security issues has been already raised.
Today be honest, as a Google fan, I believe as long as Google support Firefox with required funding, FREE Firefox browser will conquare the world!
