For last 2/3 weeks webmasters were anxiously waiting for next Google PageRank (PR). All tension came to an end when Matt Cutts announced PageRank Update on 24th July, 2008.
I should admit I was a fan of Google PR when I just started working as SEO. But as days progressed, I realised that there is a little relation between high PageRank and SERP position. I consider PageRank as good for entertaining purpose only. But I always wait for PageRank Update to see the changes in backlinks. In this update, all my websites have gained few more backlinks. And most importantly it’s showing the inner pages are indexed properly and linking each other – that’s what every webmasters should dream about.
To search backlinks, you need to search link:www.hasan-online.com in google – replace www.hasan-online.com with your website address.
But recently, I read somewhere(can’t remember the source) that Google is changing their PageRank algorithm to make it more realistic.
