Wakoopa

I can’t remember how I found this website called Wakoopa. In it’s About Us page, it says Wakoopa is an online social network that helps people discover the best software, games and web applications on the market. It’s the Yellow Pages of software discovery.. I found website and it’s service very interesting. After I signup, I just downloaded a small piece of software(tracker), installed in my pc and it started tracking all my software usage. It’s not serious kind of program or spying program. So don’t be afraid. It’s just a social networking program that keeps your usage record in your Wakoopa account.

You can earn points for using new software, writing review of any software and even using a software for longer hours. Based on the points you earn, you will reach to new level like; Newbie, Novice, Enthusiast, Devotee, Expert, Fanatic and Overlord. My current level is Expert and need 429 points more to promoted to Fanatic. You can find the Top User, Last User for each software, their reviews etc. I like that they have a huge list of softwares and their alternatives. So if any software is not available or expensive, you can always find another software from Wakoopa.

You can invite your friends and start a networking. I’m not very keen to start networking but want to see what software I’m using everyday and their ration. According to Wakoopa, last week I used Firefox most, about 58% of my total working hours! Check my top 10 softwares:

To keep your privacy protected, Wakoopa allows you to hide any particular software usage details from public profile. So don’t worry! However, it was fun when I showed this to a collegue and we start competing each other. And I won by miles!

Join Wakoopa for free and hopefully you will enjoy it too!
