Till today, when we search any keyword phrase on Google, it shows the search result and at on the top right-hand corner it shows a definition link that takes searchers to Dictionary.com. I guess Dictionary.com received a huge traffic from Google and made huge money. Addition to that Dictionary.com is a Premium Adsense Publisher, as a result they more customization options than regular Adsense publishers.
However, we may not find that definition for long. Why?
Because of Google’s new service Google Dictionary. It can show meaning, related keyword phrase and web definitions in 28 different major languages. We can also Starred Words and save it in our Google Profile.
At the moment, it’s still in very earlier stage and comparing to Answers.com and Dictionary.com, it’s nowhere in a position to compete those two Dictionary giants.
But who knows one day it may become the G in Dictionary too.
