Recently Pakistan won Kitply Cup in Bangladesh defeating rival India after bouncing back 140 runs defeat in their group match - biggest margin Pakistan have ever lost. Pakistan have dropped their wicket-keeper and opener Kamran Akmal due to rather bad performance behind the wicket and added few new faces - Saeed Ajmal, Sarfraz Ahmed, Mansoor Ajmad and Nasir Jamshed. Pakistan has won it’s last ten matches in Pakistan against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.

Pakistan have started the tournament in style. They beat Bangladesh by 70 runs in the 1st match of Kitply Cup Tri-nations series. Batting first, Pakistan scored 233, top scored by Salman Butt 70, Mohammad Yousuf 53, Abdur Razzak took 3 wickets for 35 runs.

In reply, Bangladesh managed to collect 163 runs. Bangladesh captain was the top scorer, scoring unbeatten 56 runs, Afridi and Riaz got 3 wickets for 19 and 22 runs respectively.

Next match will be held in 10th June, 2008 between India and Pakistan 9:00 GMT.

The way broadband speeds are advertised is to be regulated under a voluntary code published by Ofcom. It wants companies to publish accurate estimates of the maximum connection speeds people can expect before they buy broadband packages. Some 32 internet providers, covering more than 90% of UK broadband customers, have agreed to the code.

Code requirements
There are several steps that fixed-line internet service providers (ISPs) - ones that use cables - are required to take under the voluntary code.

These include

• providing customers with an accurate estimate of the maximum speed that the line can support, whether in a shop, over the internet or on the phone
• resolving technical issues to improve speed
• offering customers the choice to move onto a lower speed package when estimates given are inaccurate
• providing consumers with information on usage limits
• alerting customers when they have breached usage limits

Yahoo’s German-listed shares have plunged 17% after software giant Microsoft dropped its three-month-old bid to buy the internet firm.

In pre-market US trading, Yahoo shares fell 22% and analysts expect them to drop by a similar margin when Wall Street opens for business later.

The deal collapsed after the two sides could not agree on the sale price. Microsoft boss Steve Ballmer formally withdrew the offer in a letter this weekend to Yahoo’s head, Jerry Yang.

In Frankfurt, Yahoo’s shares were down 17.56% at 14.93 euros ($23.17) in early trading.

Microsoft Corp. has withdrawn its $42.3 billion bid to buy Yahoo Inc., scrapping an attempt to snap up the tarnished Internet icon in hopes of toppling online search and advertising leader Google Inc.

The decision to walk away from the deal came Saturday after last-ditch efforts to negotiate a mutually acceptable sale price proved unsuccessful.

Microsoft was willing to pay $47.5 billion, or $33 per share, up from the bid’s current value of $29.40 per share, according to a letter from Microsoft Chief Executive Steve Ballmer to Yahoo Chief Executive Jerry Yang.
