Wordpress 2.9.1 is available for upgrade

Wordpress has released it’s latest upgrade Wordpress 2.9.1 for public. Their last major release Wordpress 2.9 was available just 2 weeks ago. It’s a minor upgrade, fixing some bugs like schedule post problem, pingback problem etc. You can find the change log here.

The latest version of the self-hosted version of WordPress (WordPress.org) – version 2.9 – has just been rolled out to users. This version has been “Carmen” in honor of magical jazz vocalist Carmen McRae. According to a blog post by Matt Mullenweg, founder of Wordpress, over 500 tickets, bugs, and enhancements have been addressed. Latest version came 6 months after it’s previous major version 2.8.
