Pakistan cricket board refused to arrange some warm-ups matches requested by Hong Kong. Earlier Hong Kong requested to for some warm-up matches in Lahore as part of their preparation for the tournament.

But now The Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) is going to change the rule to increase emiraties participation in the team. The board has ordered that at least four of the country’s 15-man Asia Cup squad must be Emiratis.
After ECB announced a quota the of players Mohammad Tauqir has been named as the deputy to the captain, Saqib Ali, while Fahad Alhashmi, Alawi Shukri and Salman Farooq have also made the tour party.
