Indian teams bad performance continues in their 1st ODI against highly motivated Sri Lankans. In their 1st ODI, Indain teams managed just 146 batting against Mandis and Muralitharan. Both of the bowlers got 3 wickets each. Only Yuvraj Singh managed to cross 20s, he scored highest 23 runs.In reply, captain Jayawardene scored 61 not out and lead the team to victory in their first match of five matchs tournament.

Pakistan cricket board refused to arrange some warm-ups matches requested by Hong Kong. Earlier Hong Kong requested to for some warm-up matches in Lahore as part of their preparation for the tournament.

A fifth ODI century for Gautam Gambhir and another quickfire fifty from Virender Sehwag extended India’s domination in the Kitply Cup as they thumped Bangladesh in Mirpur by seven wickets, with 14.5 overs to spare, and sets for the final with Pakistan. Bangladesh needed to win by a bonus point to book their place in the final but, despite Raqibul Hasan’s 89, they were always going to fall short of a fighting total after a miserly opening burst from Praveen Kumar.

Gautam Gambhir’s fifth One Day century and firey fifty from Virender Sehwag moved India to Kitply Cup’s final through a easy win – they defeated Bangladesh by seven wickets, with 14.5 overs to spare. They will meet shaken Pakistan ( India defeated by 140 runs ) in the final scheduled on 14th June, 2008.
